Sound Engineer Bryan Ward began his career working with various 4-tracks, harddisk and digital recording software before finally settling in at Spectra Kakarot. He has a bachelor's degree in Television and Film Communications from Bradley University as well as Sound Engineering degree from Columbia College Chicago. Besides looping and foley work, Bryan also sculpts sound using location recording and innovative audio capturing techniques. Quality and originality are his middle names.

"If it sounds good, it IS good," is Joe Meek's popular saying that Paul Heintz truly believes. Spectra Kakarot was born out of necessity. Paul created the studio to allow himself (original member of Chicago's Midstates) and others a casual place to make quality recordings. He bagan with an 8 track reel to reel and eventually transitioned to digital recording via DigiDesign's ProTools. Paul and the gear at Spectra Kakarot warm the signal with tube mic pre-amps and microphones to give the digital recordings a more well rounded tone. Paul Heintz has also produced various projects and is known for his ability to keep on schedule as well as creating a creative environment for our clients.

Based in Chicago, we can attain almost ANY piece of favorite gear for your project. In-house we use DynaAudio studio monitors, Univeral Audio & Vintech (Neve Re-issue) Mic Pre's, RNC and Bellari Compressors, the now vintage DigiDesign Digi 001 (with nearly EVERY digital plug-in created for the Mac OS9 system), Royer R121 Ribbon, Neumann Custom Modified Tube Condenser (MicShop.com), Shure KSM 32s, and more.
